How is Qantas Business Rewards different to Qantas Frequent Flyer?

The key difference is that Qantas Business Rewards is a program for businesses and Qantas Frequent Flyer is a program for individuals.

Qantas Business Rewards is a loyalty program that rewards Australian based businesses that hold an active ABN. The benefits of the program include discounts on eligible flights, the ability to earn Qantas Points for the business with over 50 program partners on a range of everyday business expenses  savings on Qantas Club memberships, plus more.

The Qantas Frequent Flyer program allows individuals  to earn  Qantas Points for a range of activities and purchases. This includes travelling, whether that’s flying with Qantas and partner airlines or booking a Qantas Hotel stay, using a credit card  or shopping with hundreds of partners. You can then use your Qantas Points on a range of rewards from flights, upgrades, hotel stays, car hire, gourmet food and wine, and products from Qantas Marketplace.

Designed for individuals who want to earn Qantas Points and Status Credits for their personal travel. Designed for small to medium-sized businesses, allowing them to earn points on eligible flights and expenses, which can then be used directly from your Business Account, or transferred to individual Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts.
Members earn points through personal travel, including flights, credit card spending, shopping with program partners and many other ways. Members earn points through their business activities, such as booking flights for employees, accommodation and other eligible business expenses.
Points can be redeemed for flights, seat upgrades, hotel stays, gourmet food and wine and products from Qantas Marketplace. Points can be redeemed to offset business expenses, including flights, seat upgrades and other business- related costs, or transferred to individual Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts.
Tiered membership levels (such as Silver, Gold, Platinum) based on Status Credits earned through flying and qualifying activities. Membership tiers (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3) based on the number of points earned by the business through flights and eligible expenses within a membership year.

* A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn Qantas Points for the business. A one-off joining fee of $89.50 usually applies, is inclusive of any applicable GST and may be varied by Qantas from time to time, without notice, in its absolute discretion. Membership and Qantas Points for business are offered under the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions and earning thresholds apply.

~ A business can redeem Qantas Points directly from their Qantas Business Rewards account on Classic Flight Rewards or Points Plus Pay flights, paid seat selection and additional baggage allowance (when purchased at time of flight booking), and/or transfer Qantas Points out of the Qantas Business Rewards accounts into any individual’s Qantas Frequent Flyer account. In order to transfer or directly redeem Qantas Points from a Qantas Business Rewards account, the business account must have a balance of at least 3,000 Qantas Points. You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn, transfer and redeem Qantas Points as an individual. A joining fee may apply. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions.
